Meet the GCBC Team
Jerry has years of experience as a carpenter. Couple this with his creative touch and keen eye for detail, and he can build just about anything.
From a house to a walnut-embossed jewelry box, (yes, he can do all that!) Jerry will make any piece look good and perform exceptionally.
Ernie operates a small sawmill in Coalmont, BC (about 20 minutes outside of Princeton). His operations show a deep respect for the forest, as he mainly harvests lumber from trees that have already fallen naturally.
The village of Coalmont was once a bustling mining town situated on the Kettle Valley Railway. Today it has a population of around 100 people and is enjoyed by many more who seek to take advantage of the area’s fantastic outdoor recreation and natural beauty. Sourcing our lumber from suppliers like Ernie helps to ensure that these historical towns can stay open for years to come.
We build custom branded, high-quality wooden boxes and crates. We’re based out of Greenwood, British Columbia, so we choose to source our materials from nearby lumber mills. Though wood is already a great alternative to plastic, we’ll always go the extra mile to keep sustainability in mind during the box-making process. All of our wine and beer crates are constructed in BC to minimize transportation emissions and to support local businesses!
